How It Works
Choice Matters will match you with participants who compliment your skills and attributes. This means you will be in the best position to utilise your skills and support your participant!
We will set up a meeting between you and the participant. Following the meeting, the participant will let us know whether they want to go ahead.
Who Qualifies for the Program
We are looking for people who are caring and understanding. Our support workers have exceptional communication, organisational and listening skills.
You don’t need any formal qualifications to become a disability support person, however, you need to be flexible, friendly and easy going.
Participants and their families need support people who are trustworthy, honest and respectful. We are looking for people who are committed and willing to work with participants for a long time.
As a support worker, you will enter a genuine partnership with the participant, their families, and other supports.
It’s not just about taking people out into the community—it’s also about considering how to promote inclusion and authentic relationships.
